Stuart McLean (1948-2017) left an indelible mark as a best-selling author, award-winning journalist, humorist, and the beloved host of CBC Radio’s The Vinyl Cafe. Beginning his broadcasting career with CBC Radio’s Sunday Morning, he amassed a global following with his relatable storytelling, sharing a rich tapestry of experiences, lessons, and music.

The heart of The Vinyl Cafe stories beats with the charm of Dave, the proprietor of “The Vinyl Cafe,” a secondhand record store. This engaging narrative introduces Dave’s wife, Morley, their children, Sam and Stephanie, along with an array of friends and neighbors.
